The 2022 World Athletics Championships, the eighteenth edition of the World Athletics Championships, are scheduled to be held in 2022 in Eugene, Oregon, United States from July 15–24, 2022. They were originally scheduled for August 6–15, 2021; on April 8, 2020, World Athletics announced that the event would be postponed by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting postponement of the 2020 Summer Olympics.
The championships will be held for the first time in the United States with the action taking place in the famous Hayward Field stadium in Eugene, Oregon. Some 2,000 athletes will battle for glory at the World Athletics Championship with 49 events taking place across an action-packed 10 days, with close to 150 medals on offer. The Championship will be held in three sessions – day, morning and evening.
Various athletes from different countries will look forward to make their respective countries proud in the disciplines they will be representing. The World Athletics Championship will end with the finals of the women’s 4x400m relay at 19:50 (local time) on 24 July.
