The Black Meteors are back home from Algeria after their 1-1 draw in the CAF U23 qualifier on Friday night.

Issahaku Fatawu gave Ghana the lead at the 19 May 1956 Stadium in Annaba with a wonderful strike from beyond centre circle before the home team restored parity from the penalty spot late in the game.

The team will move straight to Kumasi to prepare for the second leg encounter with Algeria at Baba Yara Stadium on Tuesday.

Ghana is hoping to advance to the U23 Championship and fight for a place to play in the next Olympic Games which will be staged in Paris.

A win in the double-legged tie will confirm Ghana’s place in the tournament which will be staged from 24 June and 8 July 2023.
