CAF CL: Hearts of Oak to play AS Bamako in second preliminary round

Ghana Premier League side, Hearts of Oak will lock horns with Malian side, Real Bamako in the second round of the 2022-2023 the CAF Confederations Cup.

The Ghana FA Cup winners will travel away from home to Mali to face their opponents in the first leg between 7-9 October at the Stade Modibo Keita before traveling to back to Ghana for the second leg in seven days at the Accra Sports Stadium.

AS Real Bamako defeated AS Douanes of Burkina Faso 3-1 on penalties to sail through to the second stage of the qualifiers.

The winner of the tie secures a place in the Group stage of the competition, a level Hearts failed to reach last season following their elimination by Algerian side JS Saoura in the play-off round.
