Mohammed Kudus put up a Man of the Match display for Ajax in a 1-3 win away to Rangers in their final Group game of the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League.

The Ghanaian international who was handed his first start in weeks stole the show as the Dutch giants exited the competition on a high.

He set up Steven Berghuis for the early opener at the Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow.

Kudus doubled their lead with a well-taken right footed finish before half time.

The 22 year old has scored 4 goals and registered two assists in six Champions League games this season.

He had the ball in the back of the net again in the 56th minute but the goal was ruled out for offside after a VAR review.

Tavernier pulled one back for Rangers in the 86th minute from the penalty spot to set up a nervy finish but Ajax struck again three minutes later to seal the victory.

The results put Ajax third in Group A behind Napoli and Liverpool. Ajax will play in the Europa league playoffs.
