The 2022/23 betPawa Premier League is set to resume after An Accra High Court dismissed Ashantigold’s injunction application on Tuesday.

The Miners action followed a decision by the Ghana Football Association to demote them and Inter Allies to the Division Two League at the end of last season.

The two clubs were relegated to the third tier after the Disciplinary Committee found them guilty of manipulating a high-scoring matchday 34 fixture in the 2021/22 campaign.

Earlier in July, the Ghana FA dismissed appeal cases filed by AshantiGold SC and Inter Allies to overturn the ruling.

On 29th September, 2022, the GFA halted the season after just three weeks following Ashantigold’s court action.

The court has now thrown out AshantiGold’s case paving the way for the return of  Ghana Premier League.

The Ghana FA is expected to communicate the exact date for the resumption in the coming hours.
